We are excited to publish our recent collaboration, A Taste of Christmas. We were thrilled to present this project during the Data+Women Zurich's December 10th Christmas Special.

The data community is a wonderful resource. We would not be where we are today without the incredible help from many individuals. Many of the methods we used in this viz were first popularized by our data community. We received several questions regarding the methods we used for our viz so without further ado, the map method is one Wendy Shijia popularized. She wrote a guest blog post for the Flerlage Twins, Drawing Curves on a Map in Tableau (Guest Post). The method used in the bump chart on the bottom of the viz is summarized in this blog post by Kevin Flerlage, Curvy Bump Chart & Slope Chart Template.

The actions created with highlighting the map and bump chart was certainly a bit complicated as we used two data sources. If you have questions don't hesitate to reach out.
